It’s time for Obama

In My fellow Clintonites, it’s time for Obama, Tripp Jones, a Clinton supporter, says it’s time to rally around Obama to strengthen him as the Democratic nominee.

Those of us who have supported Clinton and continue to believe that she would be an excellent president can play an important part in moving our nation forward by supporting Obama. We can spread the word that he offers the right leadership for these challenging times.

Our support would send a powerful message that the United States is headed in a new direction – on race relations, certainly, but perhaps most importantly, on what it means to be an American.

‘A More Perfect Union’ Tribute Song

Kip Kelly, a production guy for WABC/New York put together this tribute, featuring music from the Goo Goo Dolls.

Obama makes 3 pointer!

The senator got skillz!

More context for Jeremiah Wright

See what Pastor Wright was talking about when he said, “God D_ _ _ _ America.” His premise is that a government fails when it mistreats the most vulnerable in that society, not African Americans only… anybody. He draws his text from the book of Jeremiah and speaks globally (several nations), then locally (America).

Pastor Jeremiah Wright in context

This video shows the context of Wright’s “America’s chickens are coming home to roost” comment. Perhaps it makes more sense to you now. Ambassador Peck, whom Wright quotes, appeared on Fox News, but the network failed to add that part in their sound bite clips. So much for “fair and balanced,” I guess. (Just for the record, I should say that I do realize that Ambassador Peck was quoting Malcolm X)

Governor Bill Richardson Endorses Obama

According to the New York Times report

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson will endorse Senator Barack Obama today at a campaign event in Oregon.

“I believe he is the kind of once-in-a-lifetime leader that can bring our nation together and restore America’s moral leadership in the world,” Mr. Richardson said in the statement. “As a presidential candidate, I know full well Sen. Obama’s unique moral ability to inspire the American people to confront our urgent challenges at home and abroad in a spirit of bipartisanship and reconciliation.”
