Kennedy told a crowd of supporters in Indiana about the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. Though many riots ensued throughout various cities in the US that night, there was calm in Indianapolis. Two months later, on June 5, 1968, Robert Kennedy was assassinated in Los Angeles.
